Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks, travel vaccinations and childhood immunisations. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes and carry out cervical smears.
Practice Business ManagerThe Practice Business Manager provides leadership and management skills to enable the practice to achieve its vision and to meet agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment. The Practice Business Manager supports the GP’s and other medical professionals with delivering patients services & the management of complaints.
Office Manager / Complaints ManagerDebbie leads our team of reception staff which is you first point of contact with the practice. Debbie can also deal with any suggestions or comments you may have.
The Practice management are involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. Supporting the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and helping to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Long Term Condition Management Co-Ordinator - Mary is responsible for administration associated with all long term condition clinics - for example: diabetes, coronary heart disease and respiratory. She will answer any queries related to appointments for these clinics.
The Data & systems administrator has responsibility for data input, the management of IT systems and is a senior administrative worker within the reception setting and provides supervisory support to the reception team when the Reception Supervisor is not on duty.
Reception Supervisor
Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you. They have a lot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry. Please understand that they are constantly balancing the needs and expectations of patients and doctors in an ever changing environment. They ease the flow of patients to doctors and keep the practice running smoothly. Sometimes they need to ask further information. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses. They have to respect the privacy of patients and have a right not to encounter abusive or violent behavior.
The medical secretaries deal with patient referrals, medical reports and medico-legal requests. They provide a link of communication between the patient, doctor and hospital.
